"Swing Set" Qigong

This was the initial Qigong set practiced at the Qigong Workshop hosted by the Orlando Martial Arts Meet Up (August 29th, 2010). We had an excellent turn out, and covered a great bit of material! As mentioned, here is the list of names to jog the memory for those who wish to continue this practice. Feel free to leave comments with questions, or send any inquires (via email) to Info@SpringAndAutumn.com

Great job everyone, and thank you all for your attendance, and open heart-minds to tonight's practices.

"Swing Set" 7-Piece Qigong

  1. Swinging Empty Arms
  2. Bouncing the Dantian While Swinging Empty Arms
  3. Inward Swinging the Jacket With Empty Sleeves
  4. Outward Swinging the Jacket With Empty Sleeves (Bow Stance, practice each side)
  5. Twisting With Cloud Hands (Reeling Silk)
  6. Expanding-Contracting the Qi-Ball
  7. Finding Stillness in Neutral Posture
Remember, it is more important to breath softly and silently, than to build with force and tension. Also, keep the knees pointing over the toes, and do not disconnect the waist from the shoulders when twisting. It is always best to go as deep as you can relax, than to force the the stance low/long and exert physical strength. Softness and persistence reveals true skill.

Keep in touch everyone, best of wishes with all of your pursuits, and trainings.
